Gasifier



Gasification is a process that converts carbonaceous materials, such as coal, petroleum, biofuel, or biomass, into carbon monoxide and hydrogen by reacting the raw material, such as house waste, or compost at high temperatures with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam. The resulting gas mixture is called synthesis gas or syngas and is itself a fuel. Gasification is a method for extracting energy from many different types of organic materials.

Gasification can also begin with materials that are not otherwise useful fuels, such as biomass or organic waste.

Azed Bina Sdn Bhd

Azed Bina Sdn Bhd is an engineering research company involved in organic waste recycling into renewable energy (heat & electricity) and ash for the production of organic fertiliser.

The company has developed an economical and environmental friendly system know as the Bio-Waste Recycling System (BRS) to recycle organic waste.


Project Objectives

This project to design, fabricate, construct and commission a pilot plant Bio-Waste Recycling System (BRS) to recycle wet municipal organic waste into clean heat energy and biogas.

Project partly funded by Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI).

The outputs of this Bio-Waste Recycling System (BRS) are:
  • The novel biotechnology of bio-thermal water disassociation to produce biogas (syn gas) within minutes as an economical renewable energy source.
  • The biogas (syn gas) produced from the pilot plant will operate a small genset to produce electricity for own internal consumption.
  • The system produces economical clean heat energy of hot air temperature of 300 C to 500 C using air to air heat transfer system for practical heat drying application.
  • The pilot plant produces clean organic ash (without foul smell) from the bio-waste recycling system within minutes as raw material to produce the bio-organic fertilizer.
